Description
Bold vintage coat dress dating from around the mid-to-late 1980s or early 1990s.
A brilliant statement piece in deep pink-red, emerald green, yellow and black, arranged in a graphic mixed-check pattern. It has a long straight shape with wide notched lapels, a double-breasted front, two patch pockets and large textured gold-tone buttons. Matching buttons finish the long sleeves, with a rich pink lining inside.
There is a concealed zip at the side, helping it sit more like a structured dress than an outdoor coat. It could still be worn open as a longline jacket over a simple black outfit.
No readable brand, size or composition label is present, so the maker and fabric are unknown. The material feels visually like a medium-weight woven fabric with enough body to hold the structured shape.

This gives an approximate 42-inch bust and 36-inch waist before allowing for comfort and movement. Best suited to around a modern UK 14, depending on body shape and the fit wanted.

Very good vintage condition from the photos, with light signs of previous wear.
The shoulder pads have flattened and become slightly bumpy with age. They are still wearable, though they could be replaced or removed if preferred.
The gold-tone buttons show the character expected from an older piece. No obvious major stains, holes or missing buttons can be seen.
